About the Labs Team & High Risk Project
Unbabel Labs is the innovation team at Unbabel that is responsible for developing the next generation of products at Unbabel. The team is currently developing a new product under the Center for Responsible AI project: a High Risk assessment and Management module.
This High Risk module will allow a customer from the medical domain, specifically from the pharmaceutical industry, to understand and manage the translation quality and the regulatory compliance requirements for their translations.
We aim to revolutionize the way these clients deal with Translations, empowering them with the necessary tools to assess if their translations are of high quality and compliant with authority regulations (e.g. EMA) in areas like pharmaceutical leaflets publication, for example, where an error may have critical consequences and even endanger people’s lives.
What’s the opportunity about?
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic AI Engineer Intern to join our innovative team working on cutting-edge generative AI applications in the medical and pharmaceutical domain. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute in building a crucial module in the High Risk system with the goal of validating if compliance regulations are met during the translation process of a specific document relevant to the pharmaceutical leaflet domain. As an AI Engineer you’ll work closely with the High Risk team to research the topic of regulatory compliance and develop a reliable issue detection system for pharmaceutical leaflet documentation.
As part of this internship you will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout your time at Unbabel and gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of AI driven solutions.
